What makes burdock oil different from other hair oils like argan or coconut?

Burdock oil has a long tradition in Eastern European hair care. Unlike some oils that are known for deep penetration, burdock oil's main characteristic is its mix of fatty acids, which create a light protective layer on the hair shaft to reduce roughness, add softness, and improve shine. It also contains inulin, a plant carbohydrate that helps hair retain moisture on the surface, making it look less dry and more polished.

Its texture is often richer than very lightweight oils, giving hair a smoother appearance but needing more care with application volume. While argan oil is prized for adding shine without heaviness, and coconut oil is often used for its deep conditioning properties, burdock oil is traditionally chosen when hair feels dry, dull, brittle, or weakened by coloring or heat styling, to make it look stronger and more resilient.
