NEOCAPSIDERM is a warming ointment, so the expected effect is a local heat sensation on the skin. This comes from ingredients that act on heat-sensitive receptors: capsicum extract provides capsaicinoids naturally associated with chilli peppers, while vanillyl butyl ether supports a faster warming feel. Camphor, turpentine oil and eucalyptus oil add an invigorating aromatic profile and reinforce the warming character.
The sensation is not the same for everyone. On some skin it may feel comfortably warm; on more reactive skin, or if too much is applied, it may feel hot or burning. The rich occlusive base, including petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin and lanolin, helps the product remain on the skin, so the warmth may continue to develop after you finish massaging it in. This is why testing with a small quantity is the safest way to judge your personal tolerance.
