What is the shelf life of an opened sachet, and how should I store the unopened ones?

Each 7 ml sachet is a single-use portion. Once torn open, the product is exposed to air and potential contamination — use it right away and discard any remainder. Do not reseal or save a half-used sachet for later; the charcoal and sugar suspension can dry out or grow microbes.

Store unopened sachets in a cool, dry place (below 25°C / 77°F) away from direct sunlight and humidity. A bathroom cabinet is acceptable if it does not get steam-hot daily; otherwise, a bedroom drawer is better. The foil-laminate packaging protects the formula from light and oxidation, but extreme heat can still degrade the charcoal’s adsorption capacity and the sugar’s texture over time.

Check the expiry date printed on the outer carton before use. If a sachet feels unusually hard, smells off, or the contents have separated into a watery layer and a solid mass, do not use it — the product may have been compromised by temperature swings.
