What is the flavor profile of this tea, and how does the black tea base interact with the creeping thyme? — Black road sand road 80g alteja

Alteja Must Tee Liivatee 80G is designed for drinkers who prefer a robust tea experience with a distinct herbal character. The foundation is a fully oxidized black tea, which provides a rich amber color, a gentle astringency, and deep, malty notes. This oxidation process develops compounds like theaflavins and thearubigins, contributing to the tea's body and lively quality.

Creeping thyme (Thymus serpyllum), also known as wild thyme, is added to this black tea base. Unlike simple flavorings, the thyme introduces its own aromatic profile, driven by essential oils such as thymol and carvacrol. These compounds create a spicy-herbal aroma that makes the infusion feel warmer and more rounded. The result is a drink that feels more characterful and expressive than a standard black tea, suitable for those who enjoy traditional herbal-black tea combinations or Russian-style blends with stronger aromatic profiles.
