Store the 25 g packet in an airtight container, such as a glass jar with a tight‑sealing lid or a resealable plastic bag with a vacuum seal, to minimise exposure to air and moisture. Keep the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong odours, as these can degrade the leaves’ flavour and aroma. Ideally, place the tea in a pantry or cupboard where the temperature stays between 15–20 °C. If you need to store the tea for longer periods, you can freeze it in an airtight bag; when you’re ready to brew, allow the leaves to return to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. Check the leaves periodically for any signs of mould or off‑odours; if any are detected, discard the batch. With proper storage, the tea can maintain its quality for up to 12 months. Consult a specialist before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication.
