Start with clean, dry skin. Take only a small amount, usually less than a pea-sized portion for a single spot, and warm it between your fingertips for a few seconds. The balm softens with body heat and becomes easier to spread. Massage it gently into the area until a thin film remains. Reapply as needed after hand washing, bathing, or long outdoor exposure, since those activities can remove or weaken the protective layer. It is intended for small target zones such as elbows, hands, or chafed spots, not for all-over use. If you use it during the day, keep in mind that a waxy ointment can feel a little greasy at first; waiting a minute or two before dressing usually helps. At night, you can apply it more generously to rough areas and let the film work while you sleep. If any stinging or redness appears after application, stop using it and do not try to push through the reaction. Avoid using the product on skin that is broken or severely damaged unless a professional has advised you.
