What ingredients make it warming, and why does it have a citrus smell?

The heating effect comes from a blend of red pepper, black pepper, cinnamon and ginger. Each of these plant extracts is known for creating heat on the skin surface and stimulating the area locally, which is why they appear in firming and body-contouring products. Rather than using a single hot ingredient, this formula combines several, so the warmth develops in layers: the oil first glides over the skin, then the heat gradually builds, and during a longer massage the spicy sensation becomes more pronounced.

Nettle extract is included as a traditional toning ingredient in body formulas. It does not cause heat; it supports the overall toning positioning of the product. Grapefruit and lemon essential oils mainly contribute a fresh, citrus aroma and make the massage feel more invigorating. The oil base, meanwhile, reduces dryness and helps the skin feel smoother after the massage.

This composition is why the product is intended for massage on the thighs, hips and buttocks, areas where the skin can feel less firm or look less even. It is also why the oil is not suitable for the face or for sensitive, irritated or damaged skin: a strongly heating blend like this can easily overwhelm delicate areas. If you have never used warming massage oils before, try a small amount on one leg first and observe how your skin reacts before doing a full session.
