LOODU Ninasalv is a rich ointment, not a light cream. It is designed for the skin on and around the nostrils when that area feels dry, rough or reddened. The typical trigger is repeated nose-blowing during a cold, but windy weather or heated indoor air can also leave the nostrils chapped. The formula combines olive and coconut oils with beeswax and lanolin. Olive and coconut oil soften and condition dry skin, while beeswax gives the ointment a denser texture so it stays in contact with the skin longer, including overnight. Lanolin is included because it mimics the skin's own lipids, which makes sense for very dry areas.
The product also contains thyme, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, marsh Labrador tea and propolis. These give the ointment a fresh, aromatic profile and are part of a herbal tradition used around the winter season. In practice, that means the balm has a noticeable scent and a thicker feel than a standard face cream.
Use this balm only on the outside of the nose and the surrounding skin. It is a skincare product, not a nasal medicine or an inhalant. It can be a useful addition to a home cabinet in the colder months, and it may also help in summer if sun, wind or dry air leave the nose area parched. If you have very reactive skin, check the ingredient list before use and stop using the product if any irritation appears.
