What does this mask actually improve and what are its limits?

This is a cosmetic rinse-off sheet mask, not a treatment product. What it reliably does: the charcoal-and-foam combination removes surface sebum, pollution particles, and loose dead cells, so the skin immediately feels cleaner and looks less shiny. The plant-extract exfoliation softens rough areas and can make the complexion appear more even for a day or two. The serum base leaves a hydrated, non-tight finish.

What it does not do: it cannot penetrate deep into pores to clear established blackheads, reduce sebaceous gland activity, treat inflammatory acne, or permanently change pore size. It also does not replace a daily cleanser, a balanced moisturizing routine, or dermatological treatment for skin conditions. Think of it as a weekly maintenance tool that enhances the effectiveness of your regular products by clearing the superficial barrier so subsequent serums and creams absorb more evenly.
