White kaolin, also called white clay, is a very fine mineral powder used in cosmetics because it feels gentle on the skin. In this bath salt it does not act like a scrub or a mask; it simply disperses in the water and gives it a soft, silky texture. After soaking, many people notice their skin feels smoother and lighter, rather than heavy or greasy. That effect comes from the fine clay particles settling lightly on the skin, not from an oil-based film.
Because kaolin is white and very fine, it will not stain the skin or leave a coloured residue. It can, however, settle on the bottom of the tub if the water is not swirled, and it may leave a thin pale deposit on the enamel or acrylic surface. Rinsing the tub with warm water after you drain it is usually enough to remove it. On your skin, a quick rinse with clean water will wash off most of the clay if you do not want to keep the silky feel.
It is worth knowing that kaolin is not included here as a soap or scrub. Its role is to add softness and a smooth finish to the bath, not to remove heavy dirt. If you want a more thorough clean, use your usual body wash before or after the bath; this product is more about the bathing experience than deep cleaning.
