This oil contains red pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, nettle extract and grapefruit and lemon essential oils. These ingredients are chosen to produce a noticeable heat on the skin surface. Most people feel it in stages: first the slippery glide of the oil base, then a creeping warmth, and with continued massage a more distinct spicy heat. The level depends on your skin; if you are not used to warming cosmetics, the effect may feel stronger.
Because it is a strongly heating cosmetic, it is not suitable for everyone. Do not apply it to sensitive, irritated, damaged, sunburnt or broken skin, and keep it away from the face and eyes. If your skin is prone to reactions from essential oils or spicy plant extracts, do a patch test on a small area such as the inner forearm and wait 24 hours to see how the skin responds.
Warmth and mild tingling are expected. Sharp pain, intense burning that does not fade, or redness that spreads beyond the applied area means you should wash the oil off immediately with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Do not combine the oil with a heating pad, hot water bottle or very hot bath, because the warming effect will be much stronger.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic skin condition or take medication, consult a specialist before using this product.
