What does the sulphur smell like, and does the scent linger on skin after rinsing?

Sulphur soaps have a characteristic odour often described as mineral, metallic, or faintly like boiled eggs — this is normal and indicates the active ingredient is present. The smell is strongest while the bar is wet and during lathering. Once you rinse thoroughly and pat the skin dry, the scent dissipates within minutes and does not transfer to clothing or bedding. If you are sensitive to smells, keep the bathroom ventilated while washing and store the bar in a draining soap dish away from the shower stream so it dries between uses; a soggy bar can develop a stronger, mustier odour over time. The olive oil in the formula does not mask the sulphur note, but it helps the lather feel creamier and less harsh on the skin.
