What does the bamboo charcoal actually do, and will the black colour stain my skin or clothes?

Bamboo charcoal gives the mask its black colour and acts as an adsorbent — its porous structure binds excess sebum, environmental residue, and surface impurities around the pores. This is a surface-level effect: it helps the skin look clearer and feel less heavy after use, especially in the T-zone, without the abrasion of a physical scrub. The charcoal is suspended in the serum, not loose powder, so it stays in the fabric and on the skin surface during wear. When you remove the mask, any visible black residue wipes or rinses away easily with water or a gentle cleanser; it does not dye the skin. The fabric itself is dark, but the serum is not intensely pigmented — it will not permanently stain clothing or bedding if you accidentally brush against them. Still, it is sensible to wear an old T-shirt or drape a towel while the mask is on, as with any saturated sheet mask. After removal, wash your hands to avoid transferring any residual charcoal to light-coloured fabrics.
