What does "micellar gel" mean in practice, and why choose this format?

Micellar technology originated in facial cleansers and works by forming microscopic spheres (micelles) whose outer layer attracts water while the inner core traps oil, sebum, and water-soluble impurities. When you massage the gel onto damp skin and rinse, these micelles carry away the unwanted substances without requiring aggressive surfactants or heavy lather. The result is a cleanser that feels light, rinses cleanly, and leaves minimal residue.

For intimate hygiene, this matters because the external vulvar skin is thinner, more permeable, and more richly innervated than most body skin. High-foaming formulas often rely on sulfates or similar agents that can strip lipids and raise surface pH, leading to that tight, dry, or itchy feeling some people get after showering. A micellar gel reduces the need for those agents, so cleansing is more about lifting impurities than dissolving the skin’s own protective film.

The gel texture also gives you control: it stays where you put it, doesn’t run like a thin liquid, and spreads easily with a small amount. You don’t need a washcloth or loofah — fingertips are enough, which further reduces mechanical irritation. After rinsing, pat the area dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing. The product is for external use only and is not intended as an internal douche or vaginal wash.
