Hydrolysed collagen is collagen broken into smaller fragments so it spreads evenly in the cream. When applied, it forms a light moisture‑binding film on the skin surface. This film helps reduce transepidermal water loss, which is the main reason hands feel tight, rough or less supple after washing, cold weather or contact with detergents. The effect is cosmetic and temporary: the skin surface appears softer, more elastic and visually more even while the film remains. It does not penetrate deeply or change the skin's structure, and it does not stimulate the body's own collagen production. Because the film is light, the cream absorbs quickly and does not leave a heavy or greasy layer, making it practical for frequent reapplication throughout the day.
