What do the vitamins and snail extract in this cream actually do?

The formula uses four commonly used cosmetic ingredients, each with a different role in skin comfort and appearance.

  • Vitamin B5 — in skincare this is often used as panthenol. It helps attract and hold water in the upper layers of the skin, which can make the surface feel less tight.
  • Vitamin E — acts as an antioxidant. It helps protect the skin from external stress factors linked to dryness and roughness, such as cold wind or dry indoor air.
  • Vitamin C — is valued in facial skincare for bringing a more even, revitalised look to dull skin. It does not change your natural skin colour; it helps the skin appear fresher.
  • Snail extract — contains skin-conditioning substances that help the complexion feel smoother and look more elastic. It is a common ingredient in Korean and European beauty products.

These are cosmetic actives used at levels typical for a moisturising cream, and their effect is limited to the outer layer of the skin. The product is not a medicine and should not be expected to change anything beyond skin surface comfort and appearance.

Because some people's skin reacts differently to vitamins and animal-derived or botanical extracts, it is sensible to patch test if you have sensitive skin. Avoid the eye area and use only on intact skin.
