In this gel-balm, bee venom (apitoxin) is included in micro-amounts. When massaged into the skin, it creates a mild warming and tingling sensation. This is a purely sensory and topical mechanism: the bee-venom complex, together with auxiliary plant extracts, stimulates surface receptors, and that stimulation is experienced as local heat. The warmth is one of the main characteristics of the product and is what most users associate with a warming massage balm.
The gel base also matters: it spreads easily, softens the skin and makes massage movements smoother. The second key ingredient, shungite, is a mineral mined in Karelia. In cosmetics it is valued for its mineral-rich composition, and it gives this balm its dark colour. Neither ingredient is included as a medicine; the product is a cosmetic body product, not a medicine.
If you have never used a bee-venom product before, do a patch test on a small area of skin first. Do not use the product if you are allergic to bee products, and stop using it if irritation appears. The warming feeling should be mild; if you feel more than that, remove the product and rinse the area with water.
