This is my first time trying sea buckthorn juice. How does it taste, and how can I get used to its strong flavour?

Pure sea buckthorn juice has a very distinct and robust flavour profile. It is described as bright, tangy, and sharp, which comes from the berry's natural organic acids and gives it a lively character quite different from sweeter, more common fruit juices like apple or orange. It is 100% juice with no added sugar, so you experience the full, unblended taste of the fruit, which some find pleasantly intense and others find quite strong.

If you're new to it, a good approach is to start by diluting a small amount—for example, one or two tablespoons—into a larger glass of water, sparkling water, or a smoothie. This lets you control the intensity and discover how much you enjoy. You can also use it as a tart ingredient rather than a standalone drink: stir a spoonful into plain yoghurt, porridge, or even drizzle it over desserts like panna cotta or ice cream where its sharp berry note can balance sweetness. Over time, many people develop a taste for it and may enjoy a small glass on its own. As noted on the product, shaking before use is recommended, and once opened, keep it refrigerated and use it within a few days for the best quality.
