Not quite. The base ingredient is Lawsonia inermis — true henna — but classic henna alone generally leaves a reddish or copper tone on hair and skin. This product is a full dye blend, not pure henna powder. It combines henna with other dye-system components so the developed shade is deep black, and it also contains neem and amla as plant-based ingredients in the formula. The intended use is also different: it is made for eyebrow colouring, not for colouring scalp hair or doing mehndi-style body art.
Because the black result comes from the complete formula, you should not expect the usual warm henna tint. The powder is meant to be mixed fresh and applied along the brow shape to make fair, uneven, or visually sparse brows look fuller and more defined. As with any brow colourant, it may leave a slight tint on the skin underneath for a short time, which helps the brow line look more even.
Keep it away from the eye area and apply only to brows. If your skin is reactive or you have had sensitivity to hair colour products before, test it on a small area first and stop using it if irritation appears.
