Should I be careful with this shampoo if my scalp is sensitive or my hair is colour-treated?

The formula is intended to cleanse oily roots and help the scalp feel lighter, so it may not be the best everyday choice for every sensitive, very dry or colour-treated hair type. Calendula extract is included for a soothing effect, and rosemary oil gives a refreshing, toning feel, but the shampoo still contains classic cleansing agents that remove excess oil and residue. For some scalps or hair lengths, frequent purifying washes can feel drying.

If your scalp is sensitive, start by using it less often rather than immediately switching to daily use. Notice how the scalp feels after washing and the next day: comfort, reduced heaviness and clean roots are good signs, while tightness, itching, stinging or visible irritation mean it is better to stop or choose a milder option.

For colour-treated hair, be mindful of washing frequency in general, because frequent cleansing can make the hair feel drier over time. Use lukewarm water, avoid rough scrubbing of the lengths, and apply conditioner to the ends if they need softness. If maintaining colour intensity is your main priority, you may prefer to alternate this shampoo with a product specifically chosen for coloured hair.

If you have an ongoing scalp condition or persistent irritation, ask a qualified specialist for advice before continuing with a new hair-care product.
