When should you test your skin's reaction before using this soap fully?

The soap contains several active plant ingredients: birch buds and leaves, chamomile, sage, nettle, burdock, hops, green tea, horsetail and millet seeds. Each of them is common in cosmetics on its own, but with sensitive skin or a known allergy to any of these plants, a reaction is possible. Birch tar is also an active ingredient, and in some people it can cause irritation on first contact.

If you have sensitive skin or tend to react to plant ingredients, it is sensible to apply the product to a small area of skin first and wait a few hours; in case of individual intolerance to the ingredients, the soap is not used. This is standard practice for any new cosmetic product with plant extracts.

The following situations deserve particular attention: skin conditions during a flare-up (redness, cracks, open skin lesions), pregnancy and breastfeeding — in these cases, consult a specialist before using any new products with active ingredients. The soap is not intended to treat skin diseases and does not replace therapy prescribed by a doctor.

If burning, redness or itching appears after the first use and does not pass within a few minutes of rinsing, this is a signal to stop using the product and, if necessary, see a dermatologist. The soap is for external use only; if it gets into your eyes, rinse them with water.
