In-ear earphones, earplugs and hearing aids mechanically hinder the natural migration of earwax from deep inside the ear canal to the outside. Normally, earwax gradually works its way out on its own — helped by jaw movements and the natural migration of the skin lining the ear canal. When the canal is regularly blocked, this process is disrupted and earwax builds up faster.
In this situation, Waxcontrol can be used as a preventive measure: the olive oil in the formula softens the earwax and keeps it from compacting into a plug. At the same time, the water-free formula does not create excess moisture in the canal — which is important for hearing aid wearers, as moisture can affect how the device works and the condition of the skin in the canal.
A practical tip: if you use a hearing aid, ask an audiologist or ENT specialist about the best ear care routine — the specialist will take into account the type of device and your individual characteristics. If you use earphones, the spray is used as needed (up to 1–2 times a day), and you should pay attention to how your ears feel: a slight feeling of ‘fullness’ in the ear after long use of in-ear earphones is a normal reaction, but if it does not go away, it is worth having the ear canal checked.
