The cream-balm formula contains active components that have proven themselves on dry and very dry skin: panthenol, allantoin, aloe vera, urea. All of them are widely used in products for sensitive skin. However, the composition also contains fragrance and preservatives — the INCI list includes aromatic substances (Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal and others), parabens (Ethylparaben, Methylparaben) and Sodium Sulfite — and it is exactly these that can cause a reaction in people with heightened sensitivity or damaged skin.
Practical recommendation: before the first full use, apply a small amount of the product to the inside of the wrist or elbow crease and wait 24 hours. If no redness, itching or burning appears, the skin will most likely tolerate the product normally.
If the skin is damaged — there are cracks, abrasions or inflamed areas — applying any cream with fragrance to open damage is not recommended: it may increase irritation. In such cases it's better to wait for healing or choose a product with a more neutral composition without fragrance.
If irritation persists after application, it's worth stopping use and, if the symptoms do not go away, consulting a specialist. This is a general rule for any cosmetic products, not a specific risk of this particular product.
