Why does the formula contain potassium citrate and magnesium oxide specifically, and how do these forms differ?

FARMGRUPP Kardio uses two specific forms of minerals:

  • Potassium citrate — a salt of potassium and citric acid. It is a common form in food supplements: it dissolves well and is widely used in mineral complexes.
  • Magnesium oxide — one of the most frequently used forms of magnesium in supplements. It contains a high percentage of elemental magnesium by weight, which makes it convenient for producing tablets with a compact composition.

Magnesium oxide is often compared with other forms, such as magnesium citrate or glycinate, and it is noted that the latter may be better absorbed by some people. However, the oxide remains a standard choice for basic mineral complexes and is suitable for most healthy adults when the recommended dosage is observed.

If you have a sensitive digestive system or already take other sources of magnesium, you should take into account the total amount of the mineral from all sources and, if necessary, discuss this with a doctor.
