Why is there sediment in the bottle — is this normal?

Yes, sediment in NATURALNIE MASLA sea buckthorn oil is normal and even to be expected. Unrefined cold-pressed oil undergoes minimal processing: the natural suspended particles, waxes and other components that are usually filtered out during refining are not removed. That is why such oil looks less clear and may form a sediment, especially when stored somewhere cool.

Before use, simply shake the bottle gently so that the sediment is evenly distributed. This does not affect the safety or quality of the product — on the contrary, the presence of sediment confirms that the oil has been minimally processed and has retained the original properties of the raw material.

If the oil has developed an unpleasant rancid smell or taste, that is a sign of spoilage unrelated to the sediment. In that case, it is best not to use the product.
