Shungite has a distinctive natural structure: the surface of the pyramid, especially on unpolished parts, can be slightly rough and leave a dark mark on light surfaces — tabletops, books, fabric. This is not a defect but a feature of the mineral.
A few measures are enough to avoid staining:
Put a small stand under the pyramid — a piece of felt, cork or a wooden board. This protects furniture and gives the arrangement a finished look.
Wipe the pyramid with a dry or slightly damp cloth — this is enough to keep it clean. Harsh cleaning products are not needed and can damage the stone's surface.
Avoid prolonged contact with water: shungite is not meant to be soaked for decorative use, and moisture can affect the look of the surface.
Since each pyramid is cut from natural Karelian shungite, the shade and surface texture of different pieces vary slightly — this is normal for a natural stone, not a manufacturing fault.
