Does the henna in the formula colour the hair? — Head cleaner henna and amla shine and softness 100ml sattva

In this product, henna is not used as a dye. A colouring effect is not claimed on the label; here henna is valued for its astringent properties: it helps make the scalp less oily and visually gives the hair more density at the roots.

This sets the product apart from the familiar henna powder used for colouring. Here it works together with other Ayurvedic extracts: amla (Indian gooseberry), which is rich in antioxidants and is often used in products for shine and a stronger look of the hair, shikakai for gentle cleansing, and also neem and rosemary, which are often included in formulas for skin prone to irritation and quick soiling.

Nevertheless, any plant extracts can behave differently on lightened, bleached or previously coloured hair, so if you wish you can test the product on a small strand first.
