How strong will the burning be, and how can I tell whether the cream is right for me?

How intense it feels depends on your skin's individual sensitivity. Menthol gives a slight coolness at first, then camphor, turpentine, pepper and bee venom create a building warmth, which may be quite noticeable for people with sensitive skin.

To find out how the cream will affect you, apply a small amount to a limited area, such as the outer side of the ankle, and wait 10–15 minutes. If the skin turns redder than usual, a burning sensation appears that does not go away, or there are any signs of an allergic reaction (itching, swelling, rash), wash the cream off with water and do not use it again.

Do not apply the product to damaged skin, cracks, small wounds or mucous membranes, as the active components may cause irritation. If you are prone to allergies, especially to bee products or essential oils, study the composition in advance. Fir and juniper essential oils add a pronounced conifer scent, which is also worth bearing in mind if you are sensitive to smells.
