What should I pay attention to before use? — Picosulfate sodium 7.5 mg/ 1ml 25ml

Warnings on the card: do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components; do not use in case of gastrointestinal or uterine bleeding, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting of unclear origin, cystitis, severe dehydration, spastic constipation or acute diseases of the abdominal organs. The Russian version says «consult a doctor» for pregnancy and breastfeeding, while the English version lists pregnancy and breastfeeding among the contraindications – until this is clarified it is better not to use the product during these periods (general recommendation). Consulting a doctor before use is recommended. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount; keep out of the reach of children.

Composition: purified water, sorbitol, potassium chloride, citric acid, magnesium lactate, sodium citrate, ascorbic acid, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipagin), sodium picosulfate. Vitamin C content at the recommended dose: children – 18 mg, adults – 18–36 mg. General recommendation (not a manufacturer's instruction): if you take other medicines or have chronic diseases, discuss use with your doctor and drink enough fluids. The product is not a substitute for a balanced diet.
