My scalp gets oily quickly but my ends are dry — how do I apply this without making roots greasy?

The source advises focusing on mid-lengths and ends if your scalp is easily weighed down. Sebum naturally coats the first few centimetres of hair, so the roots rarely need the intensive lipid replacement that ceramides provide. Instead, section damp hair after shampooing, take a walnut-sized amount of mask (adjust for length and thickness), and work it through from roughly ear-level down to the tips. Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to distribute evenly.

If any product accidentally touches the scalp, it will rinse out cleanly — the formula is water-based and non-occlusive — but keeping it off the roots prevents that flat, heavy feeling on day two. For very long or thick hair, you may need two walnut-sized portions; for shoulder-length or fine hair, one is usually sufficient. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear and the hair feels squeak-free but not coated.
