My roots get oily but my ends are dry. How should I apply this balm? — Balm for Hair "Hair Evolution AQUA BOOSTER Ultra" Moisturizing 245ml - Natura Siberica
This is a common hair type: the scalp produces enough oil, but the lengths and ends become dry, porous or damaged from styling, colouring or seasonal dryness. The balm is designed for dry, moisture-deprived hair, so the most useful approach is to focus it where the hair actually needs moisture.
After shampooing, squeeze out excess water from your hair. Take a small amount of balm and work it through the mid-lengths first, then move down to the ends. Avoid applying it heavily to the scalp if your roots tend to become greasy quickly. The scalp already has natural oil; adding a rich conditioner there can make the roots look flat or oily sooner.
If your ends feel very rough, you can leave the balm on them a little longer before rinsing, but always rinse thoroughly. For very dry ends, you may also follow with a leave-in product or styling product, since this balm is meant to be rinsed out before those steps.
Watch how your hair responds over time. If the lengths feel smoother and less tangled without the roots becoming heavy, you have found the right balance. If the hair starts to feel overloaded, reduce the amount or apply it only to the ends.
