My hair is dark. Will Sea Fairy make it look bright turquoise like the swatches?

Sea Fairy is a direct pigment color: it coats the outer layer of the hair with ready-made color molecules instead of changing the hair from the inside. This means it cannot lighten your natural base. On very light or pre-lightened hair the turquoise usually comes out bright and clear, close to an aquatic blue-green. On darker hair the result is usually softer and more muted — more like a cool colored sheen than a vivid fantasy shade.

If your goal is an expressive turquoise color and your hair is dark, you would need a lighter base first. That often means pre-lightening the hair in a separate process before using the balm. If you do not want to bleach, Sea Fairy can still be used as an accent: apply it to lighter strands, ends, or selected sections where the pigment will show more clearly.

Porosity and coloring history also matter. Very porous, bleached, or freshly chemically processed hair may absorb turquoise pigment more intensely, so even on hair that looks light, the final tone can change. Because the result is not predictable from a swatch alone, do a strand test on a hidden section first and check the shade after the balm has dried. That will save you from a full-head surprise.
