Can this toothpaste be used if you have sensitive gums or a sensitive oral mucosa? — Toothpaste "Red Paste", 200 g-Dabur

DABUR Red Paste contains plant extracts with a pronounced effect: clove, thyme and mint are essential-oil plants that can cause noticeable irritation in people with a sensitive oral mucosa or a tendency to react to spicy ingredients.

If you want to try the paste but are unsure how you will react, it makes sense to start with a small amount — less than the standard dose — and assess how it feels in the first few minutes after brushing. A slight tingling from the clove is considered normal for such toothpastes; burning, swelling or persistent discomfort are a reason to stop using it, and in case of an allergic reaction, consult a doctor.

  • If you are prone to mouth ulcers, stomatitis or other inflammation of the oral mucosa, it is better to consult a dentist before use.
  • An allergy or hypersensitivity to essential oils (eugenol in clove, menthol in mint, thymol in thyme) is a clear reason to choose a different product.
  • It is not recommended to give the paste to children without consulting a specialist: the intense flavour and the formula are designed for adults.

The toothpaste is not a medicinal product and does not replace a visit to the dentist if you have problems with your gums or teeth.
