Can this shampoo be used with hard water?

Hard water contains increased amounts of calcium and magnesium salts. During washing they settle on the hair, making it heavy, dull and coarse to the touch — in other words, they aggravate exactly the problems this shampoo addresses.

Honey helps retain moisture and softens the hair, partly offsetting the drying effect of mineral deposits. Cereal extracts make the hair look fuller and less brittle, which also matters with regular exposure to hard water.

A few additional measures that work together with the shampoo:

  • Rinse your hair with cool water at the end — this helps smooth the cuticle and adds shine.
  • You can add a little apple cider vinegar to the final rinse (1–2 tablespoons per litre of water) — this neutralises the alkaline residue left by hard water. However, this method does not suit everyone: if your scalp is sensitive, it is better to check the reaction on a small area first.
  • The conditioner from the same range creates an additional protective layer and makes combing easier after washing in hard water.

If your scalp is sensitive or prone to reactions, it is better to introduce a new product gradually, watching how your skin responds; if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, do not use the shampoo.
