A cream with 5% urea and glycerin is one of the common formats for caring for dry hand skin, as both ingredients are well studied and widely used in cosmetics for sensitive skin. Skin reactions are individual, however, so a few points are worth considering in advance.
If the skin is very sensitive or irritated, it is recommended to first apply the cream to a small area and wait a few hours. This is standard practice when introducing any new product — especially if the skin is currently reacting to external factors.
Do not apply the cream to damaged areas — cracks, scratches, open irritation. Urea in such places may cause discomfort, as the skin barrier is compromised. Wait until the skin has recovered, and only then use the product as usual.
For chronic skin conditions — eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis — it is worth consulting a dermatologist before introducing any new skin care product. The cream is not intended to treat skin diseases.
In other cases — seasonal dryness, tightness after washing hands, roughness — the cream can be used as needed, as indicated on the packaging.
