Can these drops be used by children or during pregnancy?

FARMAKOM Apifarm is a cosmetic product, not a medicine, and its use in children and in pregnant and breastfeeding women requires consulting a specialist beforehand.

The reason for caution is the composition. Tea tree oil contains active aromatic compounds that are not recommended for young children: most paediatric guidelines advise avoiding essential oils in products for children under 6, and in some cases under 10–12. Garlic extract may also cause a reaction in people who are sensitive to it.

For pregnant and breastfeeding women, the general recommendation for using any product with essential oils and plant extracts is to check with a doctor whether it is suitable, as individual sensitivity may be heightened during this period.

If you need to moisturise the nasal mucosa of a child or during pregnancy, isotonic saline solutions without additional active ingredients are usually considered a more neutral choice: their tolerability in these groups has been better studied.
