Who should consult a doctor before taking it? — Shiitake Mushroom Extract, 20 tablets - Evalar

Evalar shiitake tablets are a food supplement, not a medicine, but this does not mean they can be taken without regard to your state of health.

It is worth consulting a specialist before you start taking them in the following cases:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding — during these periods any supplements, including mushroom extracts, need to be agreed with an obstetrician-gynaecologist.
• Regular medication — beta-glucans and vitamin D3 may interact with certain medicines, in particular with immunosuppressants or drugs that affect vitamin D metabolism.
• Chronic conditions — especially autoimmune conditions, in which stimulating the immune response calls for caution.
• Mushroom allergy — if you react to mushrooms in food, this is a reason to discuss the supplement with a doctor before you start taking it.

The product is intended for adults. Healthy adults without the factors listed above usually just need to follow the instructions on the pack — 2 tablets once a day with meals, as a course of at least 1 month — and monitor their individual tolerance.
