German chamomile belongs to the daisy family (Asteraceae, or Compositae). People with an established allergy to plants of this family, such as ragweed, chrysanthemums or calendula, may also react to chamomile. The reaction can show up in different ways, from mild discomfort to more pronounced symptoms.
If you are trying chamomile tea for the first time and know that you tend to have plant allergies, start with a small amount and watch for a reaction. If you notice any unusual sensations, it is better to stop drinking it.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as people with chronic conditions or those taking medicines, are advised to consult a specialist before drinking herbal teas regularly.
The product is not a medicinal product and is not intended to treat or prevent any disease.
