Who should be careful with these lozenges?

The lozenges contain components to which some people are particularly sensitive:

  • Propolis and honey are bee products. If you are allergic to honey, bee venom or other bee products, it is better to avoid them or consult a specialist first.
  • Lemon essential oil: citrus essential oils sometimes cause reactions in people who are sensitive to citrus fruit.
  • Cedar resin is a conifer component that may also be unsuitable if you are sensitive to resinous substances.

It is also worth bearing in mind that isomalt is a sugar substitute and, like other polyols, may have a laxative effect when consumed in large amounts. In lozenge form this is usually not an issue, but it is useful to know.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a chronic condition or take medicines, consult a doctor before use. If symptoms of an allergy appear during use, stop using them.

If you feel markedly unwell, have a high temperature or have symptoms that do not go away within a few days, the lozenges are no substitute for seeing a specialist.
