All three components of Kameton-V — camphor, menthol and eucalyptus oil — have an intense effect on the mucous membranes. This makes the product undesirable, or calls for caution, in a number of situations.
- Sensitive mucous membranes. If you are prone to irritation, burning or allergic reactions to menthol, camphor or essential oils, do not use it.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Camphor and essential oils in high concentrations can have undesirable effects. Discuss use during these periods with a doctor in advance.
- Children under 12. The product is recommended for adults and children over 12, so it is not given to younger children.
- Chronic respiratory conditions. With bronchial asthma, a tendency to bronchospasm or other chronic conditions, inhaling essential oils may be undesirable — this is a separate reason to consult a doctor.
If burning, increased irritation or other unusual sensations appear after use, stop using the product.
