VitalGold D3+K2 contains 2000 IU of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 — doses that suit most adults but call for attention in several situations.
Anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin). Vitamin K directly affects blood clotting. If you take blood-thinning medicines, adding K2 may change how they work. This is not a reason to give up the complex, but it is a reason you must discuss it with your doctor in advance.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Vitamin requirements during these periods are individual and are often covered by specialised complexes. Additional D3 and K2 should be agreed with a specialist so as not to exceed the total dose.
Taking other complexes with D and K at the same time. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, and any excess accumulates in the body. If you already get D3 from another source (multivitamins, fish oil with D, a separate D3), the total dose may turn out to be higher than needed. Before adding VitalGold, it is worth calculating your total intake.
In all other cases — a healthy adult with no chronic diseases who is not taking the medicines listed — the complex can be considered a standard addition to the diet. The supplement is not a medicine and is not intended to treat or prevent diseases.
