Who should be more careful with this tea?

Although YOGI TEA Bedtime is a herbal tea, not a medicine, it contains ingredients that certain groups of people should pay attention to.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. Valerian, lemon balm, sage and peppermint in concentrated form may be undesirable during these periods. It is best to consult a doctor or midwife before drinking it.
  • Children. The tea is positioned as an evening drink for adults. For children, especially young ones, the choice of herbs and their combination require a separate assessment by a paediatrician.
  • Taking sedatives or sleeping pills. Valerian and lemon balm are traditionally used in the evening precisely because of the nature of their effect. If you are already taking medicines with a similar effect, the combined effect may be stronger than expected.
  • Allergy to plants of the umbellifer family. Fennel belongs to this family. If you are allergic to fennel, do not drink the tea, and if you react to dill, celery or carrot, cross-sensitivity is possible; in this case, it is best to consult a doctor beforehand.
  • Individual sensitivity to aromatic herbs. Lavender, sage, nutmeg and cardamom are ingredients with a pronounced aroma. If you are prone to headaches from strong smells, it is best to drink only a small amount the first time.

For a healthy adult without any of the above, the tea is usually well tolerated. The tea is not drunk in cases of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients, and if an allergic reaction occurs, stop drinking it and consult a doctor. If in any doubt, a specialist's advice remains the best guide.
