Who should not take this balm, or who should consult a doctor first? — Phytobalm on Fructose "Bronho Plus", 100 ml – Altai Nektar

Although the balm is a food supplement rather than a medicine, several situations require a prior consultation with a doctor or pharmacist.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. The label gives no separate instruction for this period; if in doubt, discuss use with a specialist.
  • Children. If the balm is considered for a child, check the permitted age and dose with a paediatrician — the instructions may include age restrictions.
  • Allergy or sensitivity to herbs and berries. The formula includes plantain, lungwort, juniper, nettle, rosehip, raspberry and blackcurrant. If you know you react to any of these ingredients, it is better to avoid the balm.
  • Regular use of other supplements or medicines. The vitamin C in the product adds to vitamin C from other sources: the label advises not to exceed the recommended daily dose. If you already take multivitamins or a separate ascorbate, take this into account.
  • Chronic conditions. With kidney disease, carbohydrate metabolism disorders (the product contains fructose) or other chronic conditions, it is best to agree on use with your treating doctor.

The balm is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent disease and does not replace prescribed treatment.
