Does the collagen in the cream really penetrate the skin and restore it?

The hydrolysed collagen in this cream is collagen broken down into smaller fragments (peptides). It is important to understand that cosmetic collagen does not become part of the skin’s structure and does not replenish the skin’s own collagen reserves — the molecules are too large to reach the deeper layers, even in hydrolysed form.

Its real role in the cream is different: it works on the surface of the skin as a moisturising agent, attracting and retaining moisture and making the skin feel smooth and soft to the touch. This effect is noticeable immediately after application and lasts until the cream is washed off.

The effect is enhanced by other ingredients: hydrolysed elastin gives the skin a more well-groomed look, glycerin draws in additional water, allantoin reduces the feeling of tightness, and mineral oil and silicones form a thin protective film that slows the evaporation of moisture. Coconut oil softens the skin.

The cream is therefore well suited to the everyday care of hands that are often in contact with water and detergents — it helps the skin look and feel softer and more moisturised. You should not expect it to have the effect of medical procedures.
