According to the card, the removable aluminium plate allows the rigidity of the fixation to be adjusted as needed; it must be removed before washing. The orthosis is intended for fixation and compression of the wrist joint and the thumb joint, for support in daily use, during recovery and under physical load; it is suitable for injuries to these joints, sprained ligaments and the recovery period after a cast is removed. The card does not state in which situations to leave the plate in and in which to take it out.

General information (not a manufacturer's instruction): with the plate the fixation is firmer, without it softer; the choice depends on the injury and the stage of recovery, so it is better to agree the regimen with a doctor or an orthosis specialist.
