When is the best time to take this syrup, and how do I fit it into my day? — Golden root tonic syrup 250ml - Farm Group

Because the syrup contains Rhodiola rosea and other invigorating plant ingredients, it is best taken in the first half of the day – in the morning or at lunchtime. Taking it in the evening is not advisable: adaptogens can make it harder to fall asleep for people who are sensitive to invigorating products.

The syrup is taken with meals, added to tea, mineral water or other drinks (shake it before use) – which is convenient if capsules or tablets feel like a less comfortable format. Bear in mind that herbal food supplements of this kind are designed to be taken as a course: a single use usually has no pronounced effect. Adults take 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3 times a day for a course of 2–3 weeks; do not exceed the recommended daily amount.

If you take any medication, have a chronic condition or are sensitive to invigorating products, it is worth consulting a specialist before you start taking it. The syrup is not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in cases of impaired carbohydrate metabolism and diabetes, increased nervous excitability, insomnia, high blood pressure, heart rhythm disorders or severe atherosclerosis.
