How should this tea be brewed to bring out its full flavour? — Sea Buckthorn Herbal Tea 50 g - Teavit

According to the instructions, 1–2 teaspoons of the blend with berries, rosehips and chaga are covered with hot water — the label does not specify a particular temperature.

Steeping time is the key point. Berry and herbal blends take longer to release their flavour than leaf tea: according to the instructions, they are steeped for 5–10 minutes, preferably under a lid or with the cup covered by a saucer to preserve the aroma. If steeped for less time, the taste will be watery; if steeped for too long, the rosehip may give it excess astringency.

You can brew it in a teapot, a cafetière or straight in a mug with a strainer. For a richer taste, go by the upper limit of the instructions — 2 teaspoons and 10 minutes of steeping.

It can be drunk on its own or with honey or a slice of lemon — the tartness of sea buckthorn goes well with both. Milk is not usually added to this kind of blend, as it masks the berry aroma.
