Pour boiling water over the blend and let it brew for at least 5 minutes — this is exactly what the instructions say.
Ginseng root and bergenia root are dense plant parts that release their flavour better with longer contact with hot water. That is why boiling water and a brewing time of at least 5 minutes are important: according to the instructions, only then do you get a product that is safe to consume.
If the flavour seems too strong, reduce the amount of the blend (but do not shorten the brewing time — at least 5 minutes). If you want a more pronounced aroma, let it steep for longer.
Herbal blends with ingredients such as St John's wort and ginseng are traditionally drunk in the first half of the day: tonic herbs taken in the evening may affect sleep quality. This is a general recommendation for such blends rather than a strict rule — go by your own reaction.
Store the blend in a dark, dry place at 10–20 °C, out of the reach of children and away from strong odours — herbal blends easily absorb other smells.
