How do you brew TEAVIT blackcurrant tea correctly?

TEAVIT Mustsõstra taimetee is a loose herbal tea with blackcurrant berries, rosehip, wild thyme, rowan and aronia, so it is brewed in the same way as most berry and herbal blends.

The general procedure is as follows:

  • put about a teaspoon of the blend into a cup or teapot;
  • pour over hot, freshly boiled water;
  • leave to infuse for 5–8 minutes — berries and rosehip release their flavour more slowly than tea leaves, so giving them a little time makes the drink richer;
  • strain if you wish.

The berries give a full, slightly tart taste, while wild thyme adds a spicy, warming aroma. The strength is easy to adjust with the amount of blend and the steeping time: the longer it infuses, the more pronounced the flavour.

You can drink the tea on its own or add it to black or green tea if you want to make your usual drink more aromatic. It is enjoyed at home, at the office or over a quiet evening cup when you want something not too strong. Sugar, honey or a slice of lemon — to your taste; the composition allows for it.
