Dill seeds are whole dried plant material, so before brewing you can lightly crush them in a mortar or grind them: this helps the aromatic substances pass into the water. If you prefer a milder taste, the seeds can be used whole.
Take the amount of seeds and water and the steeping time from the instructions on the pack; the seeds are steeped with the lid on and then strained. The longer they steep, the richer and spicier the taste — adjust it to your own preference.
Since the pack contains only seeds, with no additives or flavourings, you can combine them with other herbs from your home collection — for example, mint or chamomile — if this matches the way you usually drink herbal teas.
The finished infusion is best drunk fresh. Keeping the brewed drink for more than a few hours is not recommended.
